Welcome to ISBDAI 2026

2026 5th International Symposium on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: For Education Transformation is a biennial symposium (since 2018), which will be held on May 27-29, 2026 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The symposium will focus on frontier topics in both the theoretical and applied aspects of Data Science, Cloud Computing, Mobile Web, IoT, Computer Science (CS), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), while particularly encouraging and supporting research that explores the intersection of these fields with education.

This includes, but is not limited to, studies on AI-powered teaching tools, data-driven educational decision-making, cloud-based collaborative learning platforms, IoT-enabled smart campus systems, ethical implications of technology in education, and the integration of CS/AI fundamentals into educational curricula to foster digital literacy.

It is organized by the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) and co-organized by the Institute for Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). As a leading international symposium, it aims to provide an innovative platform for academic exchange among students, faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals from across the globe.

Publication & Guidelines

Publication

All presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, while selected papers will be recommended to relevant journals for potential publication.

Paper Review

All submissions to the ISBDAI will be sent to at least 2 reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical and research content, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The full paper submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program.

Guideline
  • A. Author + Presenter: You are invited to submit an unpublished original work.
  • B. Presenter Only: Abstract / Poster is necessary to submit, it will not be published.
  • C. Listener Only: Attend the conference.
Journal Opportunities

Excellent papers will be recommended to the ABDC/ISI/Scopus indexed journals.
