This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is intended to promote academic co-operation and advancement between: CE-MONT and IETI.
The Center for Mountain Economics (CE-MONT), was established in 2008 as a mountain research center, a long-awaited "pioneering" scientific entity, within the "Costin C. Kiritescu" National Research Institute / Romanian Academy, a reputable research institution on Economic and social problems of national and world level, with a vocation for fundamental and advanced research, financed from the public budget, continuator of the academic efforts of over 100 years.

Established in 2015, the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) is a non-profit (No Membership / Fellowship Fees) international academic organization including 5 Nobel Prize Laureates, 2 Turing Award Laureates, 1 Fields Medal Laureate, 1 Wolf Prize Laureate, 2 John Bates Clark Medal Laureates, 1 Oscar Award Laureate, and 1 King Faisal International Prize Laureate, 68 Academicians, 9 ACM Fellows, 26 IEEE Fellows. Key Members of IETI are from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Oxford University, University of Cambridge, University of California - Berkeley, Princeton University, Columbia University, Yale University, Imperial College London, University of Chicago, etc. It has two brother organizations: the International Research Institute of Economic Management (IRIEM, led by 2 Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics) and the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI). IETI takes engineering application, science and technology innovations, and sustainable development as its goals; chooses general education as its vision to promote the coordinated development of natural sciences, engineering sciences, and social sciences. IETI has diversified cooperation with more than 50 Organizations (universities, academies of sciences, research institutes, etc.) from Europe, America, Africa, Oceania, and Asia, and appeared on the top 100 ranking academic websites (news, libraries or professors' personal web pages) , it can be seen that it is widely recognized by the world.

The objective of this MOU is to enable both parties to explore and discuss:
Exchange visits of leaders and staffs.
Promote friendship, cultural and educational ties, and to encourage an exchange of ideas and information between the two organisations.
Investigation of possible programme linkages including articulation pathways between the institutions in the future.
Information exchanges on academic developments, teaching methodologies and research activities, including scholarly publications, journals, theses and research activities.
Jointly organized conferences, seminars and workshops on topics of common interest.
Other activities that provide mutual benefits and enhance the operations of both institutions.
After signing the MOU, the both sides will publish news about their cooperation intentions on their respective official websites.
The partner will recommend some outstanding colleagues from national and international organizations to be members of IETI.
