
From October 15th to 16th, the "2020 Fifth World Symposium on Mechanical and Control Engineering" hosted by Guilin University of Technology was successfully held in the lecture hall of the Yanshan campus library. Fellow of the IEEE, Distinguished Fellow of the IETI, Professor Yiu-ming Cheung of Hong Kong Baptist University; Fellow ASME, Fellow of IETI, Professor Eddie Ng from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Academician of the Pakistan Academy of Engineering, Foundation Fellow of IETI, Professor Xiao-Guang Yue; Professor Cheng Junsheng from Hunan University, Professor He Deqiang from Guangxi University, Professor Wu Xiru from Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Professor Fang Liang from Guilin University of Technology and more than 150 participants in related fields attended the symposium.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Deng Guobin, the vice president of Guilin University of Technology, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the University, extended a warm welcome to the experts and representatives attending the meeting, and introduced the basic situation of the University and the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering. This conference lasted for 2 days, and a total of seven invited lectures were organized. The conference also selected a number of excellent papers and awarded awards to the winning authors.
The successful holding of this symposium has established a platform for experts and scholars in the field of mechanical and control engineering to communicate and discuss, broaden the horizons of teachers and students in the discipline of mechanical and control engineering in Guilin University of Technology.
