
On October 23-24, 2020, sponsored by Wuhan Business University, undertaken by School of General Education of Wuhan Business University, International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI), and co-organized by European University of Cyprus and other Universities, the Second International Conference on General Education and Contemporary Development was held in Wuhan by using a combination of online and offline method; at the same time, the establishment of the International Federation of General Education for Applied Universities was announced to promote the in-depth development of general education in applied universities in the post-epidemic era.

The conference attracted experts and scholars from 45 universities in China, the United Kingdom, Australia, Romania, Cyprus and other countries. More than one hundred high-quality academic papers were received, and 14 excellent papers won first, second and third prizes.
In addition, the International Federation of General Education for Applied Universities will attract global applied universities to carry out general education research focusing on strengthening social responsibility, focusing on scientific and technological innovation, social economy, public health, history and culture, etc.
